Hanna Nordvik

Hanna brings 18 years of professional experience in HR and legal, spanning both the public and private sectors. She has held internal leadership roles and consulted with startups and more established companies, which has given her unique insight on how to help her clients solve people-related challenges and lead happy, high performing teams. She feels most energized by the opportunity to make an impact with companies that are improving the health of our planet. 

Previously, Hanna was an HR leader at the fintech company, Block, during a period of explosive growth (from 2018-2023). She helped scale the HR business partner function across the Square business unit, which more than tripled in size during her tenure. She was deeply involved in organizational change and process improvement initiatives. She also provided hands-on strategic input and guidance to management on M&A, employee relations, performance management, coaching and development, compensation, conflict management, organizational development, training and more. Prior to joining Block, Hanna briefly led the people function at Weebly and supported its acquisition and integration within Square.

Earlier in her career, she spent time at Sequoia, where she had the opportunity to work with more than 25 innovative and rapidly scaling tech startups and provide consultative guidance as their outsourced HR advisor. Hanna was the second hire at M34 Capital where she was accountable for all aspects of HR, and supported the CEO and board of directors on corporate matters and investment operations. Hanna practiced law for 5 years before deciding to focus more on the people side of running an organization, and has been a Certified Professional in Human Resources (PHR®) since 2014. Linkedin

Hanna grew up in the Midwest, lived in the Bay Area for nearly a decade, and now calls Portland home where she lives with her husband and 4-year old twins. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, dining with loved ones, live music, and exploring the outdoors.
